Position Summary

The Project Manager for Human Resources (HR) will be responsible for successfully driving project and process improvement efforts to achieve significant business impact across the HR function. This individual will focus on delivery of high impact projects, process improvements, and executive coordination across the HR function.


  • ​Independently and collaboratively coordinate project activities across the HR project portfolio, including global, enterprise, and functional projects
  • Support the HR Executive Team in leading the management of HR project activities
  • Lead and ensure team clearly understands project scope, schedule, and budget; ability to hold team accountable to providing deliverables on time
  • Collaboratively monitor the status of multiple HR project activities concurrently to ensure timely completion of projects across the HR portfolio
  • Schedule and facilitate project team meetings
  • Utilize project management tools and skills on multiple projects simultaneously to define, track, and report on deliverables and progress
  • Act as an advocate for project management excellence, and maintain responsibility for intervening on projects that are at risk of non-delivery
  • Manage project actions and risks by raising issues and concerns in a timely manner
  • Manage communication to sponsor and other project stakeholders




  • ​BA/BS majoring in Human Resources, Business Management, or similar field
  • 5+ years Project Management Experience
  • Specific experience in project management, including collaboratively building the project schedule, resource loading, constraints, dependencies, risk assessment, and can articulate the detailed activities and associated challenges
  • Familiar with PM tools, processes, and methodologies for escalations, governance, operational cadence meetings, ROI calculation, and integration of multiple workstreams
  • Proven experience in developing relationships to drive project metrics which ensure the project delivers the desired and expected business results
  • Process Domain Expertise: Preferably domain expertise to fall back in human resources, coupled with knowledge of various tools and methods for a PMO
  • Building & Sustain Momentum: Has demonstrated expertise delivering against multiple small, and large projects. Specifically has begun project from scratch, with detailed knowledge of the activities and decisions which were involved, and can share real life strategic direction of the processes.  Additionally, has experience entering projects midstream, as a successor to prior PM, or to accelerate a project at risk
  • HR Expertise: Knowledge and experience with talent management, talent acquisition, total rewards, and shared service project work
  • Functional Coordination Expertise: Knowledge and experience coordinating project activities across a broad portfolio of activities, and ensuring alignment through various functional management techniques, including agenda management, management systems execution, and process governance
  • Travel: Able to travel to meet the needs of the project.  This may require overnight travel to meet the needs of the project.
