    Position Summary

    Sr. Mechanical Engineer opportunity supporting Bridgestone's Process Systems Development department leading work efforts and/or projects with substantial risk, business impact, and complex engineering challenges.

    • Manages scope, schedule, and budget of projects

    • Understands manufacturing machine capabilities
    • Encourages manufacturing innovation to create competitive advantage
    • Leads, mentors, and develops project teammates
    • Keeps abreast of cutting edge manufacturing technology
    • Works well in a multi-discipline and team-based environment
    • Develops business plans for new projects
    • Listens and provides solutions to the manufacturing plants
    • Performs advanced machine design
    • Leads installation, debug, startup, and handover of projects

    Qualifications

    Required:

    • A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related technical degree and 8+ years of experience or a Master's Degree and 5+ years of experience. 
    • Ability to travel 50%.
