    Position Summary

    An SAP Developer SLT Specialist within Bridgestone Americas (BSA) is responsible for creating technical integrations between Bridgestone's applications and systems. This role will be primarily engaged in the implementation of a major SAP ERP implementation, utilizing the existing SLT platform in replicating data between multiple source systems and HANA Sidecar. This role functions in IT, reporting to the Integration Solutions Sr. Manager.


    • Interact closely with technical and business people to ensure the program goals are completed.
    • Act as a Mid-Senior level team member, advising on the high level and detailed designs, as well as implementing these.
    • Provide technical oversight for contractors working in SLT for the program
    • Understand the business purpose of each connection to ensure proper planning is completed.
    • Ensure all designs are implemented properly to ensure long-term supportability, resiliency, flexibility, and stability.
    • Work under the oversight of the program management team and Enterprise Architect
    • Work with source system functional leads to identify tables to be replicated to the target system based on application design
    • Work with source system DBAs to configure database connectivity from Source to target.
    • Configure optimal settings for initial loads, on-going replication, and calculation jobs
    • Configure optimal table settings for SLT and establish standard load parameters
    • Implement changes necessary to meet technical requirement relating to column eliminations / additions
    • Ensure BSA standards are maintained in every connection created, escalating requests for exceptions professionally
    • Create clear, concise, and accurate documentation for all implementations
    • Ensure peer reviews are completed on all work prior to requests for go-live
    • Provide recommendations for improvements to standards
    • Perform maintenance duties on the SLT system as needed
    • Perform troubleshooting on the SLT system as needed
    • Provide occasional guidance or recommendations to operations team members for current production jobs
    • Attend and participate in team meetings and events regularly
    • Participate in IT-wide activities such as time tracking and administrative activities


    • 3+ years' SLT experience in technical design, implementation, and support with HANA Sidecar
    • 3+ years' experience in roles with direct customer interaction
    • 5+ years' experience in an enterprise environment
    • Strong understanding of SAP SLT concepts and functionality
    • Detailed understanding of SAP database structures
    • Strong understanding of SAP S4 architecture and functionality
    • Strong understanding of HANA Sidecar functionality
    • Excellent communications skills in English, both written and verbal
    • Ability to explain complex concepts understandably to non-technical people
    • BS/BA Degree in related discipline or equivalent experience
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Mid-level or higher business acumen, including understanding of financials and supply chain


    • Understanding and experience in middleware and integration technologies such as SAP PO, Mulesoft, or Sterling
    • Experience in manufacturing or automotive industries
    • Experience in ERP implementation projects
