    Position Summary

    Bridgestone Americas Tube Business is looking for an Account Manager I for our Russellville, AR inner tube facility. The Account Manager will develop and implement detailed and comprehensive sales and marketing plans designed to increase sales, market share and profitability as well as customer satisfaction.



     Sales Solicitation/Maintenance (50%)
    ·Identify prospective accounts, provide estimate annual forecast, determine opportunity for securing business based on competitive analysis
    ·Develop and present sales solicitation plan designed to secure account on a profitable basis
    ·Initiate contact via phone/customer visit with target account and continue pursuing until desired objectives are met
    ·Monitor competitors marketing activities- pricing, discounts, products and provide findings to management
    ·Responsible for day to day maintenance of existing account base
    ·Establish time and travel schedules to adequately service major accounts and potential customers

    Engineering Liaison (25%)
    ·Analyze market trends for quality improvement opportunities and communicate/ report to management team
    ·Submit quarterly abnormality reports comparing current trends to previous year data
    ·Design sales presentations to secure incremental profitable business
    ·Participate in joint sales calls with dealers as necessary to support customers relations
    ·Liaison between existing customer base and Firestone Tube management team
    ·Respond to phone request requiring technical information or abnormality concerns

    Inventory Management/Purchasing for Imported Product (20%)
    ·Responsible for managing quality of inventory on imported product offering
    ·Analyze product cost by vendor to ensure purchasing from low cost provider
    ·Provide annual forecast to suppliers by month
    ·Submit monthly orders with various suppliers by requested time lines
    ·Review and track vendor turn-around times to insure scheduled delivery dates to meet customer fill rate objective
    ·Present inventory status by quarter for management review

    Training (5%)
    ·Design and conduct training to educate dealers, stores and customer personnel on product offering, mounting procedures, common failures modes and preventive measures to prevent down time
    ·Recommend strategies to reduce liability associated with returned products
    ·Manage Warehouse staff


    ·4 Year Bachelor Degree

    ·Intermediate computer skills working with Excel and Power Point


    Work Experience

    ·Minimum of 2 years industry related experience or minimum of 5 years Sales experience


    Work Conditions

    ·Requires a considerable degree of independence in decision making with limited direct supervision

    ·Entails significant dialogue internally with multiple departments to insure customer request are conveyed/implemented

    ·Primary liaison for product performance, evaluations and reporting

    ·Responsible for managing inventory levels for imported product offering by analyzing vendor, price and availability

    ·Requires daily contact with existing customers and travel to prospective accounts with an objective of obtaining profitable business
