    Position Summary

    The Outsourced Products Manager will partner with and support business units, functional groups, and associated stakeholders across the BSAM enterprise in a high impact role, providing support for enterprise-wide outsourced products initiatives. This individual will be responsible for overall project management, strategic planning, and process development initiatives, supporting the purchase of more than $500M in tires per year. The Outsourced Products Manager will report to the Director, Outsourced Products.

    Responsibilities

    • Manage project tracking for Outsourced Products projects in conjunction with functions and business teams to ensure timely follow up for project milestones
    • Prepare analyses to support the Director, Outsourced Products, relating to legal contracts; business case feasibility; market risk assessment; make vs. buy; and similar
    • Manage development, tracking, analysis, and reporting of KPIs for Outsourced Products, while enhancing supplier performance through effective supplier and stakeholder interactions
    • Support the execution of Outsourced Products strategy to ensure continuous supply to BSAM while delivering base-case enterprise business results
    • Interact with suppliers and internal "customers" to identify, implement and realize optimal value and performance
    • Facilitate Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) efforts including strategic segmentation and supplier rationalization
    • Support creation, documentation, and maintenance of Outsource Products processes, policies, standards, and RASIC, ensuring updates are published to applicable repositories in a timely manner
    • Support the identification, research and evaluation of Outsourced Products providers that meet the organization's standards of quality, value, timing, service and reliability of supply

    Qualifications

    • EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE:

      • Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree preferred
      • 5 years plus of Project Management, Planning, or related experience 
      • Ability to function from a stable state of independence, displaying ability to manage assignments without significant oversight

      SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

      • Ability to multitask and adapt priorities quickly 
      • Effective and advanced communication skills 
      • Advanced planning & analytical capability 
      • Advanced, complex problem solving; able to identify key issues and effectively coordinate efforts to achieve resolution 
      • Leadership & teamwork; able to build internal & external alliances with focus on “customer relations” 
      • Demonstrated computer proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Project, and other related software
      • Financial acumen (business case development; make vs. buy analysis)

      FOUNDATIONAL JOB KNOW-HOW:

      • Strategy formulation, development and implementation
      • Contract development, negotiations, management & administration 
      • Financial Analysis & Project Management 
      • Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) and negotiation
      • Proficient in "Problem Solving Decision Making"
