    Position Summary

    The Finance Director of Credit First National Association (CFNA), is responsible for the financial operations of CFNA, a National Credit Card Bank. The individual partners with Bank President, CFNA Board and cross-functional Executive Team with strategic business planning and delivery of the business units operational and financial results.

    The role is responsible for leading a team of 12 teammates, including CFNA's Merchant Finance and Enrollment Support function teams. Primary work focus includes oversight/preparation of budgets, financial reporting, business analysis and presentations to Corporate management. Additional responsibilities include accounting and internal controls, in accordance with GAAP, IFRS and various Regulatory standards. The role also coordinates cash management/external financing (coordinated with Corporate Treasury) and the outsourced cardholder payment check processing function.

     

    Responsibilities

    DIVISION FINANCIAL ACCOUNTABILITY – 90%

    • Oversee the preparation of financial reporting and make presentations to Management regarding the financial performance of the Division, strategic financial business plans, and performance against business budgets.
    • Oversee the financial mid-term and budget development, planning and reporting. Assure that monthly financial results are presented to local and corporate management, with variances to expectations identified and explained. Maintain expenditure reviews and controls over spending and capital.
    • Ensure adequate internal controls to assure that only authorized transactions are processed and that changes or modifications to systems are those approved by management.
    • Oversee accounting and reporting for the consolidated Credit Card division (BSCD/CFNA) and assure adequate accounting and internal controls to pass audits of internal/external auditors and regulators. Includes the preparation and publication of the Bank's annual report and reporting to government bank regulators.

    Responsible for leading and developing a team of three direct reports and total team of 15 people

    • Lead financial analysis of strategic decisions including ROI of expense and capital investments and evaluating tradeoff decisions and strategic projects.

    Qualifications

    BS degree required in finance/accounting Require 8-12 year's experience in financial analysis, accounting, audit, analysis, budgeting and management reporting 8 plus years people leadership experience In-depth knowledge of accounting and understanding of related systems. Corporate Audit and Financial Audit exposure CPA or MBA preferred
