    Position Summary

    The Senior Insight/Reporting Analyst reports to the Director of Operational Excellence in the Bridgestone Americas Manufacturing Group.  This teammate is responsible for sourcing and developing insights and reporting solutions to help improve decisions for the organization.  Their energy and motivation will be focused to evaluate data, find key points, and recommend action steps to directly impact the bottom line.  In addition, this role will also assist Industrial Engineering in gathering and prepping data for model developments.

    Responsibilities

    • Own the delivery of data reporting, trending, and modeling intelligence across the manufacturing locations, developing insights and reporting, making recommendations, and implementing improvements to current business practice
    • Identify & resolve data quality issues discovered during insights and reporting process.
    • Develop a thorough understanding of the process data available to maximize the benefit of insight over simple result reporting.
    • Investigate data necessary to achieve desired business outcomes.
    • Develop and maintain new key reports and dashboards
    • Establish a robust reporting methodology to support business initiatives
    • Understand business unit capabilities and requirements and advise the best way to fulfil these with the available resources or suggest what additional resources are needed.
    • Advise business units on appropriate use of analysis, reports and model deployment.
    • Maintain a good knowledge of relevant analytical techniques.

    Qualifications

     Required:

    • Undergraduate degree
    • 6+ years of insights / reporting experience or 4+ years of insights / reporting experience and master’s degree (quantitative or business related)
    • 4+ years of programming experience
    • Proficient in Tableau, Power BI, SQL, Microsoft Office
    • Preferred: Alteryx, Python
    • Experience presenting findings and engage in consultative manner with senior level management (VP+)
    • Ability to work independently and proactively
    • Ability to structure and work on exploratory problems
    • Demonstrated expertise in translating data and analysis into relevant implications
    • Strong project management and process skills
