    Position Summary

    The HR Generalist will provide HR support to the sales, operations and all other functions within the Bridgestone Retail Operations Team. Responsibilities include but are not limited to employee relations, reporting, training on HR processes, talent acquisition, affirmative action, processing teammate transactions, HR related projects and employee engagement. An ideal candidate would have a passion for teammate advocacy, understand the customer/client needs, be able to build business partnerships, have a track record of engaging with teammates at different levels, lead with an overall positive attitude, attention to detail and able to use data to make sound decisions.


    • Works closely with HRBP to ensure key HR initiatives are communicated and carried out effectively.
    • Process all transactions for the BSRO group, which include pay changes, promotions, transfers, and separations.
    • Serves as subject matter expert and contact for teammates & management regarding human resources policies, programs, Payroll administration, and other initiatives.
    • Partner with the HR Centers of Excellence to execute processes and achieve objectives.
    • Partner with managers to move key talent in the Company, including processing employment letters and initiating relocation benefits as needed.
    • Proactively manage, investigate, and resolve employee relations issues.
    • Resolve teammate questions or concerns, working to establish credibility and trust with the team as well as navigating ambiguous situations.
    • Partner with the HRBP and other business leaders to provide tactical support, and strategic input on key HR initiatives.
    • Support execution, monitoring, and delivery (in partnership with Shared Services) to ensure teammates are processed in a timely manner as well as work with a continuous improvement mindset to identify opportunities for greater efficiencies. 


    • Bachelors degree in Human Resources or related field
    • 1-3 years of related experience
    • Knowledge of federal, state and local employment laws
    • Self directed individual with the ability to manage work with minimal supervision and prioritize multiple competing projects in an ever changing environment
    • Collaborative HR professional with the ability to build and maintain positive work relationships with a variety of internal customers
    • Ability to work through ambiguous and unique situations

    • PHR certificate preferred but not required
    • Experience with Applicant tracking systems, integrated talent management systems, time and attendance systems, or other HR related tools desired
    • SAP HR Experience, including familiarity with SAP reporting tools
    • Workday Experience
