    Position Summary

    The Manufacturing Manager is responsible for safe, cost effective and efficient operations for multiple locations. Directs and coordinates all plant managers to ensure production of quality products delivered on scheduled. Manages equipment, technology, and capacity upgrades. Oversees preparation and implementation of factory budget and cost reduction programs. Ensures the ongoing compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and company policy.

    Responsibilities

    • Leading teams to meet or exceed goals in safety, quality, service, cost, and environmental
    • Working with operational leadership counterparts and functional leaders to set direction, establish goals, ensure proper alignment of resources and report on performance
    • Driving key metrics in plant operations to meet profitability targets
    • Ensuring timely manufacture of required products on a real time basis and plans and provides production capacity for future requirements
    • Ensuring that all products meet specifications
    • Ensuring the development and implementation of performance standards and procedures
    • Reviewing and approving all capital expenditure associated with maintenance of business, normal operating, capacity expansion and cost reduction
    • Collecting and analyzing of plant cost data in coordination with plant cost accounting
    • Driving innovation and creativity to identify, evaluate, and implement process improvements
    • Ensuring that lean manufacturing tools are effectively deployed and are instilled in the culture of the facilities.

      Proven leader capable of building teams and increasing results through collaboration and engagement.
    • Strong knowledge of OSHA industrial safety processes (LOTO, Confined Space, PSM, etc.)
    • Working knowledge of environmental compliance processes.
    • Strong working knowledge of lean manufacturing tools and processes.
    • Proven focus on quality processes to support APQP as well as ISO certifications
    • Strong communication skills at all levels of the organization from operators to corporate leadership.
    • Analytical mindset to utilize a fact-based approach to problem solving.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business, or Management
    • MBA preferred
    • Minimum of 10 years experience in manufacturing

    Plant management experience required, chemical processing industry preferred
