    Position Summary

    The Finance Lead will provide the oversight for the Holding Company Finance function (i.e. HR, IT, Community). Bridgestone Americas is looking for a seasoned financial teammate to serve as the financial liaison for a function within Bridgestone Americas' headquarters (BSAM). The function supports all related needs for Bridgestone Americas, spanning Strategy & Governance, and Operations, for a 55,000 employee organization across two continents. This role will oversee and lead the financial aspect to provide decision support and trusted business advice to the function. The ideal candidate for this role will be an experienced financial professional, with a solid track record of detailed analytics and a penchant for innovation and growth.

     

    In addition to the traditional role of performing in depth analysis, another focus of this position will be to partner with Function leadership to develop and implement business plans and strategies that secure Bridgestone's position as a market leader. We are seeking a well-balanced teammate who is comfortable in strategic discussions at the executive level that involve the full scope of the organization. As such, the successful candidate will be expected to maintain the highest level of confidentiality and professionalism. He/she will report directly to the Director of Finance, Corporate Functions.

     

    Responsibilities

    Responsibilities:
    -Serve as a strategic business partner to the assigned Function.
    -Collaboratively evaluate opportunities for business growth and cost control.
    -Proactively drive strategy and finance discussions within the business.
    -Be a primary contributor to the forecast and budgeting processes.
    -Perform the analysis to evaluate risks and opportunities for the business.
    -Provide input on potential changes to or the creation of policies and procedures for the assigned function.
    -Ensure financial results from operations are reported timely, accurately and in compliance with US GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
    -Supports various projects within Corporate Functions, FP&A and Treasury as assigned.

    Qualifications

    Required Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related technical field.
    • Minimum 5-7 years progressive experience in finance.
